In an interview with the Gamesmaster Magazine, the Kid Icarus Uprising developer, Masahiro Sakurai, has stated that his in-development 3DS game could feature online versus play.
The online capabilities are currently being tested. There could be some versus play but we can’t go into any detail. There are a lot of capabilities that expand on what was in the DS that people are taking advantage of.
23 years ago, players wouldn’t have even dreamed of an online mode on the NES. With the new Sin & Punishment style that Sakurai’s team are pursuing though, online could really work here in my opinion. What do you guys think?
